    Jan 15, 2019, 14:45:12
  • Maritime: ;D
    Jan 15, 2019, 14:45:20
  • advCo: That splitty is cool
    Jan 15, 2019, 14:53:11
  • Kamn: Its going well advCo, just busy with work and planning for spring work to get started on the property, we are looking at buying the lot that is next to ours so we would have a total of 200 acres. Collecting bits to make my own heat treat oven and trying to find an anvil.......want to start forging and making knives
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:04:55
  • Kamn: or at least find an anvil thats in decent shape and doesn't cost an arm and a leg
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:05:33
  • advCo: Thats cool, let me know I'll buy one
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:07:18
  • Kamn: also have plans to build a solar kiln to dry the wood that I mill on our lot for building lumber
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:07:22
  • advCo: That would be cool
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:07:35
  • Kamn: will do
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:07:42
  • advCo: Need a lot of solar panels to power a kiln i'd imagine
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:08:44
  • advCo: I tried 3d printing a stamping die for some rust repair on the bus last night. It kind of worked, but I think i need to print 100% solid
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:09:12
  • Kamn: not really, 2 100w panels to power the fans for the kiln and the heat is provided by the sun
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:09:51
  • Kamn: thats cool....printing your own die
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:10:12
  • Kamn: here is a small solar kiln  [link]
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:13:45
  • advCo: Thats cool
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:36:03
  • advCo: Never seen that before
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:36:09
  • Maritime: Cool. that'll be handy. Any code rules on using your own wood vs stamped lumber?
    Jan 15, 2019, 15:39:52
  • Kamn: no specific rules but there are guidelines for specific weight loads on different types of wood or span allowances depending on wood type
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:13:17
  • Kamn: actually the lumber I mill will be better than big box store building lumber due to age of wood and density
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:14:25
  • Kamn: I have a shit ton of Maple and lots of hemlock as well
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:15:00
  • advCo: Nice, i've never worked with hemlock
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:32:07
  • Kamn: its like SPF
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:37:16
  • Maritime: Hemlock is strong and rot resistant. I built a deck out of it, all 2x6 construction. I got it free from the old man, he got it from the port, they use it to build walls in cargo ships when loading them
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:40:23
  • Maritime: it was 12 and 14' lengths so was a 12x14 deck, 2x6 joists on 12" centers with 2x6 decking, never moved a bit with 20+ folks on it during summer parties LOL
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:42:00
  • advCo: 12" centers, thats a beast
    Jan 15, 2019, 16:52:15
  • Kamn: probably park your car on the deck
    Jan 15, 2019, 17:30:13
  • Maritime: Probably, it was over built but better that than under
    Jan 16, 2019, 09:36:06
  • advCo: morning
    Jan 16, 2019, 09:47:03
  • Maritime: Morning
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:02:21
  • advCo: I need to try and get the needle bearing out of the z50 case tonight. Last thing before I can clean up and start reassembling the cases
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:06:30
  • Maritime: Good luck.
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:07:49
  • advCo: I got the blind bearing puller and that fucker is really stuck in there
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:10:56
  • Maritime: PB blaster and heat
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:22:29
  • advCo: Yeah I'm gonna try and heat up the case  and freeze the bearing with some compressed air
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:31:44
  • Maritime: an ice cube works too, heat the case the drop an ice cube on the bearing, it'll shrink it.
    Jan 16, 2019, 10:46:40
  • advCo: I'll try that too, I have the keyboard cleaner can I'm gonna turn upside down and spray it, then try and yank it out with the puller
    Jan 16, 2019, 11:03:05
  • Maritime: After I said the ice I realized you meant that stuff, not a compressor LOL
    Jan 16, 2019, 11:39:06
  • Maritime: It should work too
    Jan 16, 2019, 11:39:18
  • advCo: Haha yeah, woops
    Jan 16, 2019, 11:57:37
  • advCo: The blind bearings a pain in the ass,
    Jan 16, 2019, 11:57:58
  • Maritime: I bet
    Jan 16, 2019, 12:18:42

    Jan 16, 2019, 15:00:22
  • JustinLonghorn: That would be quite the hike for me, ha
    Jan 16, 2019, 15:09:03
  • Maritime: true
    Jan 16, 2019, 15:29:11
  • Maritime: tell Nick to go get it then come bring it to Mid-O
    Jan 16, 2019, 15:29:38
  • advCo: Haha we were just in Austin in December
    Jan 16, 2019, 15:41:13
  • Hurco550: i keep thinking Lenny will need a sidecar in the next couple years ;)
    Jan 16, 2019, 16:54:50
  • MiniatureNinja: does anyone know if tappet covers fit all CBs? like do the covers from a CB77 fit a CB360, 750, ect... ?
    Jan 16, 2019, 22:47:12
  • irk miller: Can't say if they're the same for CB77, but they are for every other.
