  • advCo: You've been busy
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:33:14
  • JustinLonghorn: Haven't stopped yet. Ha
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:34:20
  • JustinLonghorn: I'm tired.
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:34:30
  • advCo: I took a break from the kitchen this week. Worn out.  Odds and ends this weekend.
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:35:52
  • JustinLonghorn: I told my wife last night that I will need a break soon.
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:36:21
  • advCo: Yep. Gotta take care of the head
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:36:56
  • Maritime: Yep if you oush it to far something goes bad, don't want to get hurt or to break something
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:44:30
  • JustinLonghorn: Trying to put some posts on existing concrete last night. Hammer drill's chuck is bad and wouldn't stay tight on the bit. Grabbed my buddy's drill, and the bit was too short for the Tapcons I was using. Ran out of sunlight.
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:44:54
  • advCo: I despise drilling concrete. Done way too much of it
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:47:34
  • advCo: We used to install surface mount playgrounds on top of existing slabs. 4 anchors per post. Had a real nice Hilti hammer drill though which made things easier
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:48:15
  • JustinLonghorn: the post holders I am using require 8 tapcons per post.
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:50:49
  • JustinLonghorn: It's dumb.
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:53:20
  • Maritime: Over kill to cover their buts. We used to require crazy fasteners on our railing systems, if a contractor didn't use them it waived all liablilty on our part. but when someone leans od a railing 30 storeys up you want to make sure it isn't going to let go LOL
    Aug 17, 2018, 09:56:28
  • advCo: You could probably get away with 2-4 lol
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:05:22
  • JustinLonghorn: I will let you know after this weekend if I actually use 8 per post. Ha.
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:16:51
  • Maritime: Ha, I bet 4 is sufficiant, you likely aren;t trying to keep a 10000 lb bull inside the fence
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:18:32
  • JustinLonghorn: No sir.
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:23:03
  • JustinLonghorn: But I am using cattle fence.
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:25:45
  • Maritime: Fun.
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:47:27
  • advCo: We've been slow at work. Been getting back into researching for the Ghia. Ramping up to get started cutting and welding
    Aug 17, 2018, 10:55:37
  • JustinLonghorn: I am hammered at work, but my focus has definitely been elsewhere.
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:07:01
  • advCo: Last week and today and yesterday I've had barely anything to do
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:08:30
  • irk miller: First week of school is always the longest.  I would love to wire the chopper and make it go vroom vroom this weekend.   All the females in my house will be at their grandmother's all weekend.
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:29:26
  • advCo: There you go. Get er done
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:34:31
  • advCo: You going to ride it a bit then pull it down and lay some metal flake on the frame or what?
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:34:51
  • Maritime: Get r up and vroooming!
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:40:37
  • JustinLonghorn: Beer, Lefties, and shop time. Sounds good to me.
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:40:51
  • JustinLonghorn: .
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:43:40
  • advCo: Lots of those Forma adv boots coming up. Would really like a set
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:51:17
  • JustinLonghorn: do it!
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:54:09
  • advCo: Gonna take a trip over to cycle gear and try a set on before I buy
    Aug 17, 2018, 11:57:39
  • JustinLonghorn: I saw that dude on ADV selling two different pairs.
    Aug 17, 2018, 12:30:51
  • advCo: Yeah there have been 2-3 pairs up in the past week or so
    Aug 17, 2018, 12:31:33
  • irk miller: Love me some DK
    Aug 17, 2018, 13:07:10
  • irk miller: But yeah, the plan is to get it running and ride it, see what needs adjusted, then break it down for paint.  The chain tensioner, for example, may be noisy and unnecessary. I don't want to paint the frame in case it needs cut off.
    Aug 17, 2018, 13:09:06
  • JustinLonghorn: I hope to get out and refoam those Advent's sometime this weekend.
    Aug 17, 2018, 13:10:16
  • advCo: whatizit?
    Aug 17, 2018, 14:11:38
  • JustinLonghorn: Vintage speakers that I picked up on the cheap.
    Aug 17, 2018, 14:17:23
  • JustinLonghorn: They look like this:
    Aug 17, 2018, 14:18:41
  • advCo: Ahhh, nice.
    Aug 17, 2018, 14:21:19
  • JustinLonghorn: A company called Simply Speakers sells foam kits for the woofers, which I ordered the other day.
    Aug 17, 2018, 14:23:12
  • advCo: Right on. I have some old Pioneers that I built new boxes for. I'd like to upgrade the drivers in them eventually
    Aug 17, 2018, 14:33:16
  • Maritime: I just fixed up a set of B&W's for the FIL, same thing, foam all shot around the woofers.
    Aug 17, 2018, 15:21:52
  • advCo: Good ol' dry rot
    Aug 17, 2018, 15:59:52
  • jrknecht:
    Aug 18, 2018, 12:38:19
  • jrknecht: Done except for the seat cover.
    Aug 18, 2018, 12:39:07
  • teazer: Doesn't look bad, but how loud is that pipe. Hondas of that era typically seem to work better with long pipes
    Aug 18, 2018, 14:25:46
  • jrknecht: The pipe isn’t loud at all. I modified it to fit the original baffle to it has some noise reduction.
    Aug 18, 2018, 16:02:45
  • advCo: What's up with the BOTM banner?
    Aug 19, 2018, 17:32:17
  • irk miller: Looks right to me.
