i voted for the 200. Because i followed the build and would love to do something similar when i get kids.

Swan's build is just WAAAY out there - he should get a statue.

Haha! Good call!! ;D I'm not a Brit bike guy, but the story sure got me. :)

All great builds! Well done folks!! 8)

Hey Gary it is Zeke and we have finished our wiring for our speed runs. Everthing is tucked away neatly as you can see by the picture. Our seat is not there to save weight. Thank you for calling Lucky gorgeous!

I call it how I see it. It is a gorgeous bike, and like other fathers I wish my son had the same interest as yours. I guess I gotta post up a vote now this month. All the bikes this month are great.

Good luck to all the nominees.

It is good to know there are still good parents left in the world teaching their kids to be decent people. Zeke's bike and story are fantastic. He has much more than just a bike to show for his family's efforts. He is a wise, polite and considerate young man, and has learned important hands-on skills, critical thinking, creativity and problem solving which will serve him well in life. I did not always get along with my parents but the best thing they did for me was to buy a Honda Trail 90 when I was around Zeke's age. I put tens of thousands of miles on it all year around, blew off steam and extra energy that could have been directed in a negative way and began my life-long love affair with motorcycles. Good luck to nominees Hip, Texasstar and Zeke.

As I said at the beginning of my build thread more than two years ago, we all think "someday" we will find the bike of our dreams. Fortunately for me "someday" happened, I seized the opportunity and restored a rare motorcycle the best I could. It took longer than I wanted, but I did not go in to debt and I worked hard to be patient and do everything right with no shortcuts. BSA Gold Stars were the dream and inspiration for many of the original cafe racer bikes in England and subsequently recent and modern cafe racers. I spent two and half years and unmentionable amounts of time, money, blood, sweat and beers restoring her from the crank up. This is not a mummified "show" bike, museum piece or a trailer queen, it is my daily rider. I just finished her first 625 break-in miles with no major problems and look forward to riding this bike for the rest of my life. I still cannot believe this is my motorcycle. Hard work and luck has paid off.

Here are a few of the many, many photographs in my LONG build thread showing before, during and after images of my BSA Gold Star restoration. Thank you to everyone who offered help, encouragement, support and motivation along the way, I needed it for it was quite a ride. I wish you all could take her out for a long ride along the river.

All great examples, but Swan makes this month easy.

Agreed, but I may be biased. I share a workspace with Swan, so I've seen the incredible amounts of time, energy, and money he's put into this thing. Even if he doesn't win this, he has been a very happy camper for the last month or so since he finally (mostly) finished this project.

ditto

with Swan's Star in the xix the others are also-rans. No shame in being beat by such a fine example of the motorcycle art.

Thanks for the kind words swan. I really like the honda trail 90s. I saw one in l&l cycle. That's where we found lucky. Thanks again. Oh! This is Zeke not texasstar. Your story is really cool.

I've been following Swan's build since the beginning. The workmanship is astounding. Any other month, I'd vote for Zeke, but this month I've got to go with the Goldie.

Here is a link to just see a pictorial digest for Lucky and we couldn't have done it without the bravest woman in the world...Mom.

I had to go with swans bike. While the father and son project is awesome and I love how meticulous you're teaching your son to be. something about swans bike just hits the nail.

Lots of love for all the bikes this month. Looks like it will be close!

The CB250 just scored a feature on Return of the Cafe Racers.

Aaah. And we held back on the Bike Shed, waiting for the outcome of the big vote... Lesson learned.

Congrats on the coverage tho. Well deserved.

Dutch top 10 reasons you should vote for us:
1. We baked our tank in mom's oven while she was shopping...and sent her a picture.
2. Our paint job is rattle can.
3. We cleaned our carbs in moms crock pot.
4. We made a red neck parts cleaner out of a sander, duct tape. And a bucket.
5. We can light off fire works with a capacitor.
6. Your name is Dutch and we are Dutch.
7. Those Aussies are sticking together... So should we.
8. Lucky makes people as happy as a two peckered dog.
9. We survived, "WHERE IS MY COLLENDER!"
10. Zeke is 10 wants to make Marvel Mystery Oil and diesel into a cologne...oh and he can sing Leonard Cohens Hallelujah like Blake Shelton and we had many firsts...rebuilding carbs, tearing an engine apart, putting it back together, and had tons of fun.
