1972 CB350 Oil Starvation to Head

I have a 72 CB350. I recently seized the head due to what was probably an oil starvation issue. Ended up rebuilding the head, got it tuned and running, but I'm still not getting oil from the inspection hole right of the point breaker cover. I took the right side cover back off and the oil pump seems to be working. I'm afraid to ride it until I confirm it is getting oil to the head again. During the rebuild, I cleared all of the passages. Not sure what the problem is at this point.

Is there anything that I can do or check without pulling the engine and tearing it down again?

Is the spring actuated oil guide in crankcase cover free and clear?

No. After my last post, I inspected the oil filter cover and found that the spring for the oil guide wasn't even there, so it was permanently closed. I suspect that is my whole problem. Ordered some new parts, but they won't be here for a few days.
