>>CB550 bobber/brat>>FINAL STAGES>>

Re: CB550 bobber/brat

Back in November if I recall, Brit Cycle had their custom tanks on for $99, including petcock and gas cap, and was offering free shipping on $100 orders.

Not sure why I didn't order one, aside from not needing it ;)

Might be worth a look.

Re: CB550 bobber/brat

ha ha ha ha i have that sitting on my shelve right now!!! waiting on building a bike around it! it is from my dads chops from the 70's

Re: CB550 bobber/brat

I'm digging the stance of this bike a lot, nice job on the fabrication work too. I have never really been into bobbers but seeing builds like this makes me want to start one after my cafe. Guess I should start saving for a welder...

Re: CB550 bobber/brat

Awesome fab work on your mount man. Really using your head moveing the lower one back instead of the top forward. Definately gonna be taking notes from you and chris for my next buid (currently mocking it up). Have you thought about a slight stretch?

Re: CB550 bobber/brat

made some HUGE progress yesterday and will get caught up today.

A little frame modding for the tank.

Cut off the original tank puck rod, tapped and threaded to accept a 12mm bolt.

Cut the original tank tabs and relocated.

The rear of the tank slides/hooks to this solid rod I slid through the new frame section and welded.

Here is a teaser....next is the battery box then the frame is ready for Powder.
