What is an acceptable distance between the exhaust manifold and the front tire? I converted to a zx9 front fork and wheel on my kz750r1 and the front wheel has changed quite a bit. The old wheel I had was a 19 inch front. Had a 110 width and a either 60 or 70 profile tire on it. My new front wheel is a 17 inch, and the current tire size is a 120-60r17. The rear is a 120/90r18. I’d like to run a slightly bigger profile tire in the front. Maybe a 120-70 or 120-80. Right now I have about 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 inches between the closest bend of the manifold and the tire. Trying to find overall height changes between the 60-70 profile and the 60-80 profile. Trying to avoid ordering and putting on a brand new tire and having it end up too close for comfort. Thinking about running a fender at some point but it will be fitted to suit.
