Bone stock except for the sargent seat.

I am Sooooooo stoked.

you will love the ZRX. If you haven't already, go join the ZRX owners forum for a wealth of information. They are Super smooth. Lots of power. Very durable.
I had a 1999 with only 8000 miles on it for the past five years- in basically the same colors. I ended up selling it last summer to purchase my 2018 Indian Scout Bobber. I miss that ZRX already! I am sure I will regret selling it over time. But, my Indian is pretty awesome too.

Which leads me into my post for "pic of your latest purchase". This is a pic of how I got the bike. I already installed the solo seat and mini-apes last week but haven't gotten around to taking pics yet.

Sweet Indian. That is exactly the bike my buddy is drooling over and looking to go get. I've heard great stuff about them.

I love it so far. Unfortunately because of where I live (Wisconsin), i only put about 200 miles on it before I had to store it for winter. I cannot wait until spring.

Some people like to make a long story short. I usually find myself on the opposite side of that fence.

Anyway... looks like I've inherited an FZ-09 to go along with my dad's FJR1300. A few months again, when my dad was still with us, my uncle asked him for his bikes because my uncle "really wanted to get back into riding again". I ended up with the FJR and my uncle was to get the FZ-09. After my dad passed, my uncle suddenly changed his mind about having the bike and asked me to sell it and send him the money instead. This has been fairly standard behavior for him for a number of years and his phone call to me was actually the first I'd heard from him in over 30 years...

Over the weekend, my brother (executor of the estate) called me and told me to not sell the bike. My dad had been tweaking his life insurance policy continuously for reasons I won't get into. But he left instructions for my brother that said if my uncle did end up being a beneficiary for the life insurance, then he was not to get the FZ. So it looks like this Yamaha will be staying with me for a while, too.

I don't have the same emotional attachment to this bike as I do the FJR, so I'll probably end up selling it or maybe trading it in for a newer bike toward the end of the year. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to having a modern bike to ride around again.

The FZ-09 is a great bike, but could use suspension upgrade. A friend of mine had one with and aftermarket exhaust and it sounded fantastic. I only rode it a little bit but I really liked it.

Shame about family hassles.

Too many wheels I know, but it’s perfect for the snow here right now

Not the happiest of acquisitions. My dad passed away last week and left me his FJR1300.
My condolences to you and your extended family, and friends of your Dad. Keep his memory alive in the story telling, and treasure the good times.

I still have one of my late kid brother's bikes in my garage, an '82 Honda CB750F Supersport, all original. I've passed it down to my middle son who only just remembers him as his zany uncle that dumped him off my ATC90 on a wheelie, then I almost broke his shoulder punching him for doing it!

Happily, I bought EVERY ONE of his old bikes, one by one, as he moved on to the next one, before he passed away. My oldest son has his RD400 that I passed him a few years back.

Our Dad (and Mom) HATED motorcycles, so you are more blessed than me in that regard, to be sure. How I wish I could have ridden along with my Dad.

By all means take that road trip; and although it will be bittersweet, the "sweet" part will always remain.

Worse than CBX?

New battery for the CB350F, couldn't find an AGM to fit, so had to go with the electrolyte one.

That crap stinks when charging.

Hope you're charging that outdoors / in a well ventilated shop.

Garage, with the back door and front door open.

Thanks for the concern.

Got this 1972 Yamaha R5 from a friend for $1500. Titled and ran before going into storage. Comes with most of the 'glass for a TD3 replica, a Buffalo/Kettle front wheel, and some chambers. Definitely going to do with a road race replica on this build (as soon as I finish up the T500). Aside from needing the usual stuff, the shifter shaft is bent. Came with a replacement, though.
