Recommended Suppliers / Fabricators / Machinists etc. - UK

Re: Recommended - UK

I have to declare a personal interest - but no personal financial gain with this one.

RAMSHOX ............. we're getting more and more into the speciality ranges now. There's a large variety of shox making their way into the "production" ranges now - Triumph, Norton, Specials, B.S.A. ........... as well as the popular Japanese twinshock stuff, including classics like the RE5 with offset mountings.

Two powder coaters I have used for some time.

Blackpole Powder Coating [ www.blackpolepowdercoatings.co.uk. ] in Worcester [ Midlands ]

and

Washford Finishings [ www.washfordfinishings.co.uk ] in Reddditch.

both run by the same group - good honest work.

BTW - it wasn't these peeps who screwed up the colour on my Flat Tracker - we were trying a new "highly recommended" company .....right.

I've got a couple of places based around Manchester to add to this thread.

Http://www.caulfieldleather.co.uk for all your seat and upholstery needs.

http://www.raysonsuk.com/ for beautiful hand made exhausts, bespoke sand bent tubes like those seen on the auto fabric bikes.

http://www.fastlineparts.com/ for aqua blasting and general refurb and restoration needs.

Stan Leather in East London is a top bloke. Made up a seat for me with a pan I gave him in about a week, charged £60: https://www.facebook.com/stan.leather

This bloke I found on eBay made me up a custom sized seat hoop - great service. Based up north I think: http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/oneoffweldingandengineering?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

My friend Badger runs 'Hardknocks Speed Shop', near Bicester, Oxfordshire. He can do any fabrication you'd like. He's doing a manifold for Red Victor 3 over the next few months. specialty is exhausts, but can do most things.

Re: Recommended - UK

Nottingham Platers.... I dropped a few parts off for chrome plating and they turned them around for next day. Great service and excellent quality.

Re: Recommended - UK

Stainless fasteners by Will Horgan at http://www.stainlessclassics.co.uk/

I bought a load of stuff from him years ago and it's still as good as new. He will make one-offs, but has loads of stock nuts, bolts, studs, nuts, screws in stock. More for your Classic bike, but Will is still providing quality service and attends most events.

Anyone know of a decent welder / fabricator, London area? Pulling my hair out trying to find someone to cut the rear end off my CB750 and brat it for me.
