It was a race engine.
Ported.
New cast heads with a squish machined into them.
Crank was re-aligned to make it a split single...
Should be fun

Time to get started on the slab now. Got power and water ran last week.
 
Picked up my "new" to me truck. 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 with the 4.8 ls V8. My uncle ordered it brand new and I've always said when he sells it to let me know, and that's what he did. Always garage kept and amazingly rust free for an Ohio truck. Best part, only 88k miles on the ticker.

Diggin the truck surffly, but I don't think slammin the 4x4 is in the future. Though I did load a bike in it today, and the gate height makes considerably more difficult than my lowered lwb s10 was
