Show us your Eyetalian Eye Candy......

Well Frank, I didn't ride the bike for a year because of the valve situation. My Guzzi has 24000 miles on it and that is about the time they usually blow up. I did a lot of research and found out some of the valve spring problems had been solved by the dealers by putting in softer single spring valve springs. I checked mine and the fix had been done, but knowing their weakness, the valves were replaced with new stainless ones..... of course, while I was at it I ported and polished the heads, bought K&Ns, rejetted the carbs, and put on mega exhaust. Very nice bike and much faster than you would think.........

Hey..... do we have any Moto Morini guys out there???? They made some sweet 350s and 500s. The sport 350 was as fast as the 500. The sport models came with cafe seats and clip-on bars from the factory. Here are a couple of shots of my 500 Sport.......

I saw one of those on craigslist ....i always email these people, in case i win the lotto next week or take out a 9th mortgage to buy bikes

I have only seen two of these bikes except in magazines. I saw one at Mid-Ohio in the 90's and ran across this one for sale about three years ago. The guy who owned it had a very nice Italian collection, mostly Laverda, but a couple of Ducs and a couple of very rare Morinis.....

Does a Wannabe Morini owner count?

I've owned a few Ducs over the years. Still have the Senna ST4s. The others were bought as non-running project bikes that I fixed up and sold.

Thanks for the compliments, fellas. I didn't have Alazzurra in mind when I did that one, but now that you mention it, that's sure what it looks like.

I really love the old carby SS's. If I didn't do long road trips, I'd trade the ST for an SS in a heartbeat.

I've got a slight interest in a certain Italian brand...

And now the Hyper is gone, replaced by something with a little more attitude:

1975 850t. First pick is what it looks like together and the second is the current state...replacing all seals and bearings in the transmission and rear end, and cluth.

Quick update on the Italians in my garage. I sold the senna ST4s in the photos in my previous report and replaced it with a newer red '06 ST3s. I also recently bought an '05 999. The 999 needs some engine work, but should be on the road late winter or spring.

Not only my first cafe project but also my first bike ever! Just bought this beauty a couple months ago for a pretty basic price for a 1978 R100RS but I start doing some research and find out it's a 1/200 limited edition dubbed "Motorsport". I can't get anyone to commit to buying it so... I'ma still chop it up!
