Don't respond fast if I hit the gas is weird symptom . I took it for a test drive the other day and I got into the highway and it went off on me I press the gas and it wasn't going nowhere , my spark plugs are good it showing this Burning property....

Throttle lag is not uncommon with those carbs, but are we talking a small amount of time between opening throttle and response or are we talking major issues?

Spark plug color tells you NOTHING unless you are wide open. In fact if it shows "OK" at low revs, it's running lean.

When you say "went off on me" do you mean that opening the throttle made no difference and the speed stayed the same or something else? Did it improve on teh way home on surface streets compared to the freeway.

We realize that with limited riding experience, you may not have the vocabulary to describe what happened, but try in your own words to describe exactly what was happening at different times.

I'd speculate that with pods and shorty pipes, the jetting is miles off. Those motors can be a PIA to jet correctly.

There's a twin Mikuni conversion kit around but it's not cheap. https://www.speedmotoco.com/v/vspfiles/photos/KM-vm34-DOHC-8.jpg

It is also possible to get a set of GSXR carbs and re-space them to work but cheapest is to fit stock exhaust and airbox.

Interestingly Honda used a version of those carbs on their RCB endurance race bikes but I suspect that jetting was still an issue for them.

Can you get the bike to a dyno center to let them test it and see how rich or lean it is?

i make the speedmotoco.com kit

if anyone wants they can order it from me

what is your static battery voltage

what is your charging voltage at 3k rpm and 4k rpm

do you have spark at all cylinders

are your exhausts all hot ?
