The SL100/125s are pretty cool imo
330mm shock, 700mm front forks, 16 inch rims
CB160 swingarm to get a little more length over stock

Not crazy about the mags
Found these 3.00x14 spoke rims on aliexpress

I went with 120/80-14s front and rear
The front end is from some pit bike

An ebay'd xr200 motor can drop into this for a 220lb bike; need something capable for stints on the highway

Here it is in the middle of tear down and inspection, for new top end, beefier clutch plates/springs, and modern oil pump
glad I did, because whoever had this motor before me didn't know how to tighten the cam chain so it chewed into the cylinder
and washed the whole thing in metal shavings.
And oil spinners work really well.

Re: Mean Green SL100 Mini Bomber

Very cool little project. My first "bike" was a little 50cc Honda. My dad still has it out at the farm and my nephews ride it.

Re: Mean Green SL100 Mini Bomber

I got a few more bits to move ahead with

motor is starting to come together. Finally got the machine work done and back. High comp piston, new cam and new valves

Re: Mean Green SL100 Mini Bomber

- reamed the axle tube to accept a 14mm axle, which is what this cb175 swinger needs to work with my frame
- found some shocks
- finished the motor and fitting/bracketing
- tryin out the exhast

Re: Mean Green SL100 Mini Bomber

I have made a little bit of progress on this build.

Have all the wheel spacers made and the front and rear brake hangers fabbed as I am going with Brembo 84mm crabs instead of the KTM calipers I originally had. This means I had to switch out for larger brake rotors becuase the crabs hit the spokes on the wheel with the smaller rotor diameter.

Time for paint

Re: Mean Green SL100 Mini Bomber

Looks good man. I was wondering who did your cylinder head/cylinder work ? I am building an SL175 at the moment and need the head redone and the jugs honed

So there's a little place in North Baltimore that did my work. https://goo.gl/maps/z9RXWstnaAA2

Otherwise you could call up Powroll and Jerry will let you know what's what. https://goo.gl/maps/UMEyts9cQao

I dunno bud, I havent spoken to him in months but that number from Maps is the one I called.

Re: Mean Green SL100 Mini Bomber

Hey bud, one more question, did that little place you had your machine work done on your head and cylinders.. did they also rebuild the head for you or just do the machine work? Thanks again man.

Hey. Yea, I brought him everything disassembled but with new valves and seals. I asked him to recut the valves seats and bore the cylinder to match the piston i handed to him. He gave me everything back assembled and I put the new top-end on at home.

Thanks Bud, yes I am. I go to UMBC

Re: Green SL200 Mini

Hey all, here's a little update on the mid size.

Its coming along slowly but most of the worst is done.

- everything thats getting PC'ed is done
- electrics are all sorted, fingers crossed
- motor is rebuilt, painted, wired
- front end is coming together
- instruments and controls look good

Mostly just need bracket fab, paint tank and finish seat, cables, and tuning. Not small things, but now that the weather is nicer i can spend more time in the garage
