Been lurking around this site for a while and thought it was time I finally register. I spent the winter working on bikes for friends - a 1948 Panhead rigid we call Chomper, and a bobber we built from scratch using a '72 Sportster engine. Those bikes were a learning experience, a way to get my feet wet. I've been working on a bike for myself for a few months but I'm really not sure what to call it. It's not what most would call a bobber, nor is it a brat, and it's nothing close to a cafe. At least not yet. I haven't decided what direction I want to take, or how far I'm willing to go for that matter; but in the short time I've owned this bike it's become a pretty cool little scoot.

Night of purchase:

The bike was bone stock, fitted with a Windjammer and luggage rack, and looking a little rough. But on the upside she was mechanically sound and fresh off a short stay at a local shop for a refresh.

The bike went through small changes - lights, paint, a new seat from a Road King, even spent a bit of time bagged for road-tripping. After a minor accident that left the handlebars bent to hell I added a set of flipped clubman bars. The factory exhaust was pretty rusty and after the left side mufflers quite literally fell off on the freeway I decided it was time to do some actual fab work.

I rocked the Windjammer with a chopped windshield for a bit:

But while I respect the fairing I wasn't a fan. I wanted to take the bike in a different direction, and here is how the bike sits today:

There is still quite a bit left to do; I'll be replacing the rear fender, probably making a set of bars, and a lowered suspension is in the bike's future as well. I'll also be repainting the bike but I'm still undecided on the colors. It seems like everybody and their dog paints their stuff black so I need to change things up a bit.
