Is that the best you got? OK.. now my TURN...
hello boys and girls!
Its been awhile since I've waded in these waters!
I gotta get rid of a few bikes that I've lost complete interest in. So Ive decided to get rid of my
71 XS650 Cafe racer that was insured 5 or 6 seasons ago.
This cafe racer is NOT a trailer queen, its rough and tough and has a very aggressive riding position.
It's a KICK ONLY bike, no electric start.
The bike originally had some charging issues but the new single-state regulator/rectifier from Mikes XS took care of that
Gorgeous alloy tank, which is nicely oxidized to give it that rough look.
71 Frame with a newer 75 Motor and a 74 front end with alloy rims
- Boyer electronic ignition
- Chrome headlight bucket
- rebuilt clutch with Needle bearings and Thrust washer
- Single-State Regulator/Rectifier
- Alloy-Aluminum tank (with internal baffles)
- Manx short back cafe racer seat
- Custom seat bracket
- LED Volt Gauge
- Telefix adjustable clip-ons bars
- New Gran-Tourismo grips
- New cables
- NOS Redwing Reverse Hammer Shocks
- Norton Pea-Shooter mufflers (not shown in pics)
- tapered steering bearings
The build thread documenting its conversion from stock to a cafe racer is located here on DoTheTon:

Being a 1971 model, this XS650 did not come with turn signals from the factory so it is not needed for safety.
** PLEASE NOTE **
This bike has been in storage for a number of years and would need a good carb clean to get running so the bike is being sold AS IS.
However, IT WILL come certified with all the necessary paperwork. YOU just need to bring the cash and the trailer.
2 hrs of your time cleaning out the carbs and you'll have yourself an iconic British Manx style cafe racer.
This bike is not for dreamers.
Price is firm.
