Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

is that a euro bar you have on there? nice rise choice. much for comfortable (and realistic) than a cafe/clip ons.

And laying down some paint today!! I am so stoked on the colour.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Is that tank a lime green? My cage looks about that color and I've entertained the thought of painting my bike to match. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

@HRB, the bars are Ventura suzuki style. No clip-ons for me!
I like the moto-x style.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Finally got the seat back from the trimmers.
Starting to look finished! (Almost).

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

We are planning on doing a full video shoot when it's finished. Still waiting for the battery to arrive. It seems no ones in Australia has ballistic 4-cells in stock. Should be here in the next 2 weeks, then it will be time to kick her over.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Coming together nicely, I like the paint colour.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Seat turned out awesome! How much did it set you back?

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Bert Jan, it was AUD$160 to get trimmed in leather. Could have got it done in vinyl for $100. The foam was about $10 and the pan was just a scrap piece I had. Much better than paying $400 for a nitroheads one.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Tank is now cleared. Got a few specs of dust in it (paiting it in my garage), so I'm going to sand it back and give it another few coats. Looking good though!

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Didn't have much luck with the case repro badges (snapped one), so I decided to design my own on CAD and have them CNC cut.

I'm also thinking of getting the seat redone minus a layer of foam (1.5inches). I feel like it doesn't flow very well from the tank through to the rear guard as it is now.
What do you guys think?

Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

I think the seat looks great !! Kind of suits the fat look you're going for.

Bikes coming along sweat mate.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

I was going to mention the seat, I think it looks great! Really nice proportions, it seems that the skinny seat is a must-have feature of the brat, but in terms of comfort and how much time you can spend on the bike, this is definitely the way to go! I say keep it, I'll be going for something along the same lines on my cb550 after seeing this.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Could you post a straight profile shot with the seat? Might be easier to examine/assess the lines and flow of the current one vs a potentially new guy.

Re: Gentlemen's CB250 Brat Tracker

Loving this, definitely a lot of inspiration here for my build. Will definitely be following this, love it when I randomly come across another aussie build!
In my opinion I think cutting the seat down is the best way to go, but ultimately it's up to you. Good luck!
