Yamaha rocker arm cross reference

cosworth

Coast to Coast
It seems like the majority of Yamaha rocker arms share the same part number family with different model number idents between singles.

Example:

583-12151-00-00
29U-12151-00-00

The SR500 appears to have an oil hole on the slider. All angles, lengths and castings appear the same except for this one difference across several decades worth of rocker production.

The older ones wore out fast due to oiling issues and I would assume the metallurgy of the newer ones is far better. Does anyone know if these indeed are interchangeable between so many models from the SR250, YFM350, the TTR225, etc?

Honda does the same thing with the center triplet. So the "same part for different models have different triplets. However, the parts are not interchangeable. CB350 uses "286" triplet, while the CB360 uses "369" triplet. But if the 350 parts works with the 360, it retains the 286 triplet.

I would bet that Yamaha does the same thing. If the triplet is different, the part is different.....
