Inspiration

Appologies, I'm sure this isn't the right place, but i can't find a board that looks more suitable. I was hoping someone could give me inspiration for how to make panniers look good on a cafe racer??

In particular for something similar to these (quite different) bikes

I can imagine panniers on the second, not on the first...

Depending on how much you need to carry, leather (brown) looks pretty good.

Appologies, I meant more for how to mount them, and therefore how to build the back end of the bike/seat to make them look good, rather than bolted on.

For more background, I am going to cafe racer a DRZ400. I know people will say this is silly - its an underpowered bike which needs a lot of customisation to look good. But, it's what I want to do, and the first picture shows it can be done, and done well.

I plan to use it for short, relaxed journeys, not to be used in anger. The upright seating position makes it perfect for town / city riding. This would mean if I run to the shops to buy groceries, I would take this bike, not my highway mile muncher. So I'm wondering how to transport said groceries home again afterwards, and how to add panniers so that they look good, and part of the bike, rather than an after-thought that ruins the look. I think because the engine bay of the bike is so short, they lend themself to a shorter seat, and I can't envisage it looking good with a longer seat with panniers at the back?

I think your best bet is to put in some hidden-ish fastening points for the panniers to quickly mount to so that you can toss them on to go to the grocery.
I don't see how you could add them to a bike like the first on without them looking out of place, it's a very racey look and there's nothing racey about saddlebags lol.
