Re: the van remake project/ the bus remake project Pg 2

So the next thing we need to do was to make a new engine cover to go from the left of the drivers seat to the left of the passengers (instead of in between) so that we could put in a full size passengers seat (we went with Mitsubishi Lancer seats) came up really good. after that we were ready to put in the new carpet, we used Marine grade for this.

Re: the van remake project/ the bus remake project Pg 2

Need me a bus.

Re: the van remake project/ the bus remake project Pg 2

This is cool and perfect for traveling to concerts, shows etc. I want one

Re: the van remake project/ the bus remake project Pg 2

Haha yeah this has been great for travelling around to various events.

So after we laid the new carpet we needed to fit new side panels to the rear and to the front doors. I made them all out of ply and covered them, the lower ones in the rear we just stain as they are inside the couch storage area or in other areas that wouldn't be seen.

Re: the van remake project/ the bus remake project Pg 2

Ok so after we got the carpet and side panels sorted out we could start with the frame for the couch and bed area, I used angle alloy for the frame for weight and ease of use.

Evening all, well next we needed to add some braces then started fitting up the skin to the frame, including all the seat and bed base's.

Re: the van remake project/ the bus remake project Pg 2

Hey all, well all that was left to do was fit up the couch cushions or the custom mattress (California King size 7' long & 6' wide) make the bulk head to mount the lcd tv and the speakers for the sound system ( 4 x 6x9 speakers ) fit in the fridge draws and bench and lastly 240v power outlets not much really lol. All this and with a new paint job she was done.
