CB350 Rattles When Clutch not Pulled In

Hey All,

New weird problem with my CB350 - the engine makes a rattling noise when the clutch lever is not pulled in, but it goes away as soon as I pull it in. The sound is very similar to if the kick start is lowered while the engine is running - kinda a rattling/buzzing noise.

Obviously I'll need to start doing tests on it, just trying to get an idea of first places to start - going from easiest to check and eliminate to most challenging.

First thing first I'm going to drain the oil and take a look at the magnetic drain plug and see if I have metal shavings. Might check the centrifuge as well.

Any advice on easiest/first places to check?

Pull the clutch cover is where I would start.

Perhaps its something simple like a loose piece of the clutch actuator. There's a little ball held in a detent there. Maybe it's damaged or not seating fully and is jingling around except when tension is put on it through use of the clutch lever.
