Sharkhide anygood with engine temps?

Hi all just a few questions,

I'm trying to achieve the engine look bellow and Sharkhide was looking like the only real option, I have seen it featured in a few builds here but no actual feedback of how long it will last on the head and covers?
Other than a light polish or paint is there anything else to seal blasted then scotchbrited covers?

Thanks for all your replies, I think instead of stuffing around trying too keep it from oxidizing some good prep and a decent coat of a flat high temp will look just as good

Got a bit off topic, anyway with a decent prep the VHT aluminium look paint will be the best bet.
