Haven't started a thread here for a while, so here goes.
The owner of this 900ss dropped the bike off to me last week. He wants a light restoration/recommission.
The bike has been off the road for 10 years, and the condition isn't great.
Made a start yesterday by removing, and polishing the bodywork. Everything cleaned up okay, not perfect, but certainly not worth respraying.
Next jobs to do are replace the belts, and check the valve clearances.

After giving the carbs a clean, and fitting new belts, and adjusting valve clearences. Got the bike running.

Been busy the last few weeks. The bikes stripped down. Fork stanchions sent off for re-chroming, rebuild kit fitted to the carbs. New brake/clutch lines made locally. Loads of cleaning, and spraying. Made a start cleaning the engine ready for paint.

New Pirelli Diablo tyres, chain, and sprockets.
Wiring loom fitted.
Rear shock rebuilt.
Had to have a new steering stem ring nut machined, by a local engineering company.
Can't do much until I get the fork stanchions back from the chromers.
