Love the hump.

Blacked out the headlight bucket and some other little brackets and stuff. Just doin a little more mock up and assembly before putting the harness back in. I think the headlight is too low and the gauges are too far apart. Need to get more stuff as well, carb boot band clamps, grips, oil and filter, some k/n's to replace those pod filters, etc. Need to have a full length seat done as well, but hey! At least she's a roller now!

Looks good Brother great Work! I wish I had the time to take my CB650 down to the frame and do what you've done with yours.

More shit done, more to do. Going to pick up the intake boot bands tomorrow as well as the clutch cable. Ditching the clip-ons for now going to try out some black superbike bars. Messing around with some XV920 bars (that's what it said on the tag anyway) I got at a yard sale. Don't hate them. Took out the cut springs,(in the forks) put the stockers back in. Just basically fucking about enjoying working on my bike. Peace!

Got the new boots/band on. Note to self: Never, ever tear a boot, or break a band. When I decided I wanted new boots and bands I had no idea that four pieces of rubber and eight hose clamps would cost more than an a Weiand team G intake for a small block Chevy! WTF! Oh well, live and learn. Going to be ordering the K&N filters for it next. At this point, I will never be able to sell this bike. I realize that we never make money back on these things, but at this point things have gotten ridiculous for a CB650. Sometime this weekend, Gonna adjust the valves, finish up what can be finished up, then save my pennies for a little bit.

Gonna go bratstyle all the way this time. Like the look of the clip ons, but the stock switchgear, wiring, brakelines etc. look like shit on them. Thinking about rewiring the bike after this riding season with a simplified harness. Y'know, smaller/cleaner switch gear, and the whole bit. We'll see. So in the meantime, I'm trying out some supermoto bars. Man! Talk about comfortable! I'm thinking at this point "Fuck those clip-ons"! Don't look too bad either. Not sure about the mirrors though, probably put the bar ends on because I have them, and I put WAY too much money into this thing the past few years. ::) Still cheaper than a new bike.

Thanks, like the severe bob on your 650 was thinking about doing that with mine. But, I tend to take the kids for rides round the neighborhood, so bratstyle it is. Really liking the bars so far, few more parts to order/put together, and I get to fire her up maybe a quick little spin round the block. Nice Guzzi BTW.

It's a fun bike. 8) I would suggest that you find some baffles for the exhaust. It will sound terrible if it is just open pipes. Ask me how I know ;D ha.

Well, almost done all that's left to do is finish the clutch, oil and filter mufflers, and tabs. Lights are wired, bench is clean. Almost time for another project. :D

Well, ordered mufflers for it, gonna put tabs on it Monday. I've ridden it approximately 20 miles now an it seems like the oil stays inside the motor. That's good I suppose. Some things I want to do later are, K and N filter. And a 4-1 exhaust system, thinking about some longer shocks for the rear to gain a bit of clearance between the frame and tire. What do you all think.
