Throttle Direction

My pops knowing nothing about bikes tried to blip the throttle forward, instead of towards himself...but it got me wondering...why is the throttle set up the way it is...does anyone run it reverse... it actually seems kinda nice....

My understanding was that throttles were roll back because when you put the brakes on you won't accidentally open the throttle. More chance to close it.

Because we wouldn't get those hilarious whiskey throttle disasters otherwise.

Just spitballing, but I feel like your wrist would get more tired throttling foward and you'll lose some balanced leverage.

I think so as well. If you were to twist forwards your would be forcing your arm higher than your palm which would cause you to need to use extra force to push the bars into a turn.

Think of the way your wrists naturally sit. If you are using a phone to read this look at how you are holding it. If you are on a computer look at how you are gripping the mouse. Always with your hand bent "upwards".
Same as rolling the throttle back. Easy, ergonomic and unnoticed until thought of.
