You're living the dream, man, livin' the dream! Awesome collection...also why my first place MUST have a decent garage/backyard.

Yellow bikes front fairing looks like a 2001-2003 Aprilia RS125, position of the screen and air duct both look very much that way.

In other news, the Mighty Kwaka 100 has been doctored some with the CR80 chamber - goes like skunk now! Keihin PE28 is next 8)

Cheers - boingk

Ah yes...the living room of a single motojunky! Very nice indeed. What the story on the yellow bike?

Thanks. The first thing I did as soon as that woman I was married too left. :D

The one with the fairing is an RD400 landspeed bike (the fairing is looking a little crooked, or maybe it is just the photo). The one in the corner is an RD350.

Thank you Drewski, and boingk. Life is good.

Ho-Ly-SHITE!

That right there is a work of fookin' art mate!
I rocked an IT465 for several years and often thought it'd make a badass street bike with the right mods.....proof positive here.
How did you get it registered for the street though? How's it go?

I am friends with the original owner and he registered it when new, he last had it tagged in 96, but thats all it took. I guess in Florida if it was at one time registered thats all it takes, no turns no horn, but I registered it before I did anything to it just to make sure. And thanks, I think its diferant for sure. I havent riden it yet, I just took the expansion chamber to the welder to take care of a small crack so I will know tomarow. I cant wait to see how she does!

The Yamaha is back to stock. Anyways, on an unrelated note we have a RX135 (2stroker) and it emits excess smoke. We just completed a full service yesterday.

Alright first a little disclaimer, I am just a dude who has always loved/ ridden bikes, this is the first bike I have built (besides a strip down and tail for my old fzr400)and the second time I have worked with fiberglass so If you have experiance with this stuff you will probobly be appauled by my method of working, but hopefully you can find something usefull.
So here is the back story, this was my best friends fathers bike this the very same bike I learned to ride on when I was 11, in 1996 it ended up on the side of his barn and sat till he gave it to me in november.
Hard parts: 1981 it 175, suzuki gs 250 front end, excell 18x1.85 front and excell 18x2.15 rear, avon 90/90-18 fr and r, vortex clip ons(shimed with aluminum), aluminum pegs, daytona stearing dampener, roaring toyz Hyobusa quick release gas cap(busa caps are one of the simplest and they are 30 mins from my house so I got to look at a few), roaring toyz steel brainded brake line, nissan master cylinder, casewell feul tank epoxy, and pingel fuel valve. I think thats it.
So heres my first mock up for the tank, I wnated the tank to mimick the shape of the expansin chamber.
4244070971_6a3e18facd.jpg

I used the factory tail light and housing glassed into the new tail, here its all roughed out the tank portion will be come the "fuel cell" here are the first glass sections
4244844744_b9a341d5ff.jpg

originaly i wanted the tank and tail to be one unit that you could prop up like a hood but I scrapped that in the end, here it is as a one piece unit
4360040774_b847028052.jpg

gas cap recess, I glassed stainless lock nuts into the under side for the cap bolts
4360041024_bcc52b9ee8.jpg

the tail, can you tell i am impatient
4387583063_ea144767f9.jpg

final shaping, I foamed over the rough "cell" with great stuff and sanded to shap then glassed over

finished tank
