Applying Vinyls and Buffing new clear:

Ease

This is a re-post, cause I figured noone would be checking my show-N'-Shine:

Pieces are dry, laid back on the bike to have decals applied... but I havent gotten around to it yet. Just have one on there:

Anyone have advice for removing orange-peel and applying vinyls?
The plan is to wet sand with 2000 to get rid of the peel, then wash, dry and apply the vinyls... then clear 2 or 3 coats, and wet sand again.

Also, what's a good buffing compound (By Hand) for getting a good shine out of the clear?

Thanks.

You'll need several coats of clear to buy the decals and a lot of level sanding to get a flat surface. Meguire's has a series of buffing compounds in various grits but the best way to apply is with a buffier. It's a lot of work to do by hand. A cordless buffer from Canadian Tire is around $70.
