1979 Chevy C10 Hellride

The 1850 Holleys are known for an off idle bog. I run one on my 85 F150 during the winter. The problem centers around the transfer slot
at the primary butterflies. I ended up drilling one of the air jets and drilling a hole in the primary butterfly. I haven't seen a Chevy around
my neck of the woods of that vintage without rust in 35 years.

I haven't drilled any air jets. I have the bog sorted for the most part, though it wants to rear it's head every now and then.

A pair of old school Cherry Bomb glass packs would sound awesome on that thing.

I've run Cherry Bombs on stuff in the past, but it's been years. This has Camaro Flowmaster on it now. I just need to redo the pipes from the muffler back.

The drone of Cherry Bombs inside the cab would probably make it virtually un-drivable. ::)

At this point I say Clear coat it and call it done. 8). I love it.

I'm pretty glad the exhaust was an issue with the drop, since it gave me an excuse to fab up a side pipe system. I got finished at night, so it's hard to really make out the exhaust. There's also adjustment in their height. I may decide to raise them closer to the body, or I may even consider notching the bed. Regardless, they sound pretty sweet. I am a fan of Flowmaster on certain things. An sb 350 is one of them.

Here's a quick vid of how they sound. Cruising at 60 to 70 mph, these things sing in an interesting way. Sort of like the finger rubbing the lip of a wine glass.

Lookin' good.

I like it. Low enough for the look but not so low it's no longer a useable truck

Yessir. With the notch, I haven't lost any clearance to frame. It's a 2wd, so there's no way it was going to need any more ground clearance, anyway.

dayyyyyum man.....where and how do you find the time.

The truck really looks great, I need some of that energy you've got.

I have 2 trucks and 4 motorcycles that need work and I can't find time for either.

Plus a pool that needs opening up.

Am I gonna see this machine up close next weekend?
I doubt it. It would cost $1000 in gas, plus we have to drop the kids off at my parent's. They're right in the middle between here and there. I'm thinking about it, though.
