OK... So I have a 74 XS650 coming. Great bike at a GREAT price... now to make it better 8)
Now while the 74 addressed a lot of the shortcomings of the earlier iterations the front end is still a sore point.
I want to put on a later year front end with the caliper on the trailing side and the rebuildable innards so I can drop in some progressive (never mind new) springs.
So here's the question...
What years can I put on that will take the same wheel? The bike is coming with sweet alloys and I don't want to go chasing new rims.
I don't know enough about the axels, clearance issues etc to guess.
Any XS650 guru's around ???
