Interceptor TRAC system

Coast to Coast
I am putting together an 86 Honda VF500F and am wondering if I really need the TRAC system, or can I just leave it off? If I need it, I have to find the pieces to install. Bike came with no front brakes, but I have a complete assembly coming, minus the TRAC system. Thanks in advance.

when the trac is working its awesome and prevents dive

if you get the rubber kit take the time to clean it all and put it back together it will work trouble free for years

man, what DID we do before ebay?

I know what I did... I had to wait for swap meets and scoured the local tradin times papers every week, to buy several parts bikes. Then I was stuck with all the left over parts that you couldn't get rid of 8)

When I bought my RD400 in 2000, the previous owner had compiled a list of bike boneyards from a tri-state area along with addresses and phone numbers to find parts. A local old-school yamaha dealer I bought RD250 parts from in the early-mid 90s also had a few NOS things hanging around... it was more than a few times that they said "man, we thought we'd NEVER sell this!"
