Spring has finally arrived, so I got busy in the workshop... pretty much had the dry build ready but didn't know what to do about paint. In need of a quick option I opted for Würth Quattro spray paint, which is dense and flexible, which makes it good for fibreglass that flexes. I also painted the wheels with this kind of paint.

Oh, also cut the seat to shape and made a seat pan and got a friend to make the upholstry, more on that later :)

First, the dry build:

Then plan the paint job - I am going for a XR69 inspired bike. The numbers didn't make it inthe end, too much masking...

Painted it all white and masked it with fine line tape before putting down the first color

1 AM the same night: bike assembled, headlight brackets fabbed and ligths mounted and all wires hooked up. Fired it up outside and it sounded sweeet...

Next morning I put the seat cover on that a friend had sowed and took off for a seriously fun ride on the Swedish back roads. The bike handles really well, the front is now planted when braking into corners, doesn't dive and along with the new Dunlop Sportmax tyres this bike is a blast in the twisties!

Two headlights was definitely the right choice

It's pretty good, I'm not a fan of seats that are just for looks so I used 7cm talk seat foam for it and shaped it with a bread knife. Did 2+ hours of non stop riding without feeling uncomfortable. Also the seat height makes the overall riding position more comfortable...
