Questions about front caliper upgrade for 87 K75

Hi,
I desire to update the front brakes on my 1987 K75. My goal is to get increased braking performance over the mediocre performance offered by the OEM 2-pot Brembo calipers and fixed 285mm disk. I am contemplating two options:

(1) replace front forks with K1004V, replace 285mm fixed disks with 305mm semi-floating disks and replace 2-pot Brembos with 4-pot Brembos and replace the 13mm MC with a 20mm K1100 MC. This is a well-tried workable option; I actually did this on the K100 I own.
(2) replace just the 2-pot Brembo calipers with 6-pot Nissins, and replace the 13mm front MC with a 20mm K1100 MC. This would require an adapter plate to secure the calipers.

My question is, for option (2), does it make sense to keep the fixed 285mm front disks with Nissin calipers? Will I see an increase in braking performance even with the smaller disks? Is designing and building the adapter plate a difficult job?
