THE WINNER IS...PAINT IT BLACK!!!!: After revisiting the beloved applebum, and recognizing the black on black fins, ive decided to take the leap and keep the engine straight black(no cooling fin sanding). So i painted the head and cylinder glossy high temp black and now eagerly wait to assemble the top end once again. I figure that with the head and cylinder fins painted all black, it will look bitchen since im leaving the bottom end and valve cover raw and unpainted. Plus, my color scheme is going to be a simple BLACK AND WHITE throughout the entire bike so i think the choice was well suited. Stoked on everyones votes and ill be posting some shots up soon of the beast when shes up and bolted back together.
