Swap that quick disconnect for one that seals BOTH tubes when it's disconnected and no worries about fuel spills.

It is the type that seals on both ends.

Its just still a pain in the butt to get both hands on it WHILE pressing the button to get it to snap and un-snap.

But its an awsomelittle thing. had it on there for years now and it always works and never leaked a drop.

Re: 76 CB360

I found a few minutes of free time, waiting on other parts for other projects to arrive.

So finally got the sparckmoto led headlight installed. Brighter than Bright! 8) Along w his gauge leds.

360 beer rack for the War Pig

Been a while since last posting. Busy on the CL100 "project Piglet".

Yesterday I finished and installed a beer rack on the 100. And I really like it.

Then got to looking at the Tobacco card thread, posted by sleventy9R. And thought. Maybe the old War Pig would look good w one of those little fender mounted racks.

inspiration for this

got up at 4 this morning, cup of coffee then set off on the new project.

Dug a couple lengths of old 5/16 brake line tube, out of the scrap bucket.

Im a pretty piss poor wire welder. Blew a small hole or 5 but got them to stick together pretty dang good.

Im surprised its sorta stout, considering, its half assed. ;) It should be good for hauling a rolled up beach towel. Or even a full box of Kleenex. Until the welds crack from vibration and it falls off. ::)

Now gonna pull it off, knock the bb's off it and epoxy black.

Also, need to raise the tail light up bout 1/2 inch but thats no big deal.

Re: 360 beer rack for the War Pig

Pretty decent in black. Maybe even talk the old lady in to stitching up a couple small bags for it.

That's pretty sweet, nice work. You could mount the tail light under the rack... then it wouldn't get blocked by anything loaded on the rack.

Re: 360 beer rack for the War Pig

Thanks bro.

I thought about all that. Really not intending on actually using this rack...LOL.

But maybe...just maybe. Ill do something like that. Its kinda just a prototype. If I really like it. I will make another "functional" from solid 1/4" rod. that comes up closer behind the seat. and mount light under it.

I really cant carry anything substantial on it. Since its bolted to the fender. Without, beefing it up also. And with the fender on the swing...what ever goes on the rack is gonna take a beating.

Re: 360 beer rack for the War Pig

And Oh yea, If I do a permanent one. I will make Greg do the welding. ;)

Re: 360 beer rack for the War Pig

Re: 360 beer rack for the War Pig

That's going to look great. I hope it works out and you can do the panniers, too.
