Best CB750 aftermarket exhaust???

Lifelong Harley Tech trying something different
The time has come to decide on which exhaust to use on my 1980 Cb750. The problem is mainly that there only appears to be like 3 or so real options. Vance & Hines, Mac, Delkevic....all are very similar to one another and are around $300-400. Any opinions from the masses?

why? is it the sound, performance or fit and finish?
I put a Mac on a CB360. It sounded okay, but it's not the best fit and the quality is decent but not great. Something else to consider is a 750f exhaust if you're going 2 into 1. That's what I did on my 77.

Thanks for the input. I am kinda thinkin 4 into 1 for no other reason than I like the way It looks. More like a modern day sport bike.

You can also get CB750f headers and collector, then run whatever can that you want.

77-78 cb750f header is going to fit the best and probably be the cheapest option, then run whatever muffler on it you desire (I'm partial to the supertrapp for sound and appearance).....CONE engineering makes awesome mufflers as well.

another cheap options would be Delkevic. You can buy brand new just the header or their full system.

MotoGPwerks makes a 5-1 yoshimuira replica system, but I've never installed one of those that fit exactly the way it arrived, always needed some bending to fit up.

probably best you can buy would be a Hindle 4-2-1 system from RippleRockRacers, and with current exchange rates (he's in canada) you can get a pretty damn good deal. sound is phenominal, fit is perfect, and it's 321 stainless construction so will stand the test of time.

You could source a 2010 ZX10 header and an Acrapovic slip on and with some not so hard mods to the header have a one off system ;D

I'm super intrigued !! When u say not so hard mods, what are we talking about?

Mods were simple,

Cut the two outboard tubes to fit them at that sweet Honda angle on the R&L ex ports. I had to open them slightly (spread the pair of headers legs a bit). You will need a section of pipe to make a small extension to the cuts, I expanded the header and used the same dia pipe to keep it all the same id. Then you have to add to the length of the spigots, I bought a second header that was bashed for the parts,, simply cutting the spigots off the donor clean up inside and but weld right to the existing worked perfect. Then gut the butterfly valve out and... Wha La Titanium 4-2-1 header.

I don't have more than $350 in the thing including the slip on, just be patient and eBay will provide.

There's also cycle xchange with lots of models and check out Carpys line of exhausts. Lots of choices

Looking at those^^^ I see these: in the adds, those Pro Pipes are sweet for the$$ and sound really good.

I can't tell if one was cleaned up or the other was welded for some reason after but, I would not let that bother me... in fact if you don't buy em I will.

It's buy it now for 162 shipped mang... pull!
