Rebuild of a rebuild of a build.........RD400

So, I got the bike from my buddy who originally did a complete rebuild about 25 years ago and then refreshed it about 8 years ago.......then let it sit for 6 years!! :( carbs were not pretty!!! :p

I've gone over the whole bike and had to replace front and rear master cylinders, changed out the rear sets, painted the pipes and redid all the lines and rebuilt the carbs. Just a bit more to go over before I'll fire her up........wish me luck. ;)

Good luck... all these RDs that pop up here make me hope I run across one on the cheap sometime.

Been too busy riding to post......sorry ;D

Want to do a new seat, will I need a stock seat pan or does someone make a complete replacement piece? Also, it handles really well, surprised by the brakes too but I was told by my buddy who originally built the bike that a 1" longer swing arm was the thing to do! Opinions?
