Post a pic of your latest purchase

Got tired of trying to coordinate schedules in order to get parts for the Jigsaw blasted, so we picked up a HF benchtop cabinet.

Gathering parts for some of the "recommended mods" at the moment. I'll post up the finished project when done.

Let me know when you're ready, I have a couple of parts that you can try it out on.

Not my purchase, but in the stable.
Bro picked up a 2019 Sportster Roadster...

THAT is THE sportster to have.
I haven’t ridden many HD’s, and none of them for very long, but this one was the first that didn’t feel like I was riding “the cliche”. I was out for 30min before I realized it.
It’s got the torque you’d expect, but smooth as butter power delivery and handling. If it weren’t for the branding on the gauge, you’d forget what you’re on.
I’ve never been an HD hater, but they’ve never produced anything I could see myself owning. Until now.

Bones for next project. Or more acurately, parts pile. What was left of a '79 GL1000. I plan to do a restoration, and this will be donor (once I find the prime target). Drove 300 miles each way to pick it up in Indiana. I had help loading it but will have to unload myself. There's always gravity....

I think I've used my harbor freight 2 ton engine hoist for moving or unloading things many more times than I have for engines. Moved knee mill, lathe, bikes, ultrasonic, anything over 100lbs really. I don't know what I would do without it.

^This^

I even used mine to help install a garage door opener, held the assembly up to the ceiling with the hoist as I put everything in place. It's seen more than a few Rube Goldberg set ups to get strange tasks taken care of. It's amazing how many uses you can find for one once you have it. I even used it to pull a flathead V8 out of a pickup bed once! Oh, wait...

Never used mine for an engine. Moved a few knee mills around in the shop, lathes, turret punch press, a 4'x4'x10" granite surface plate, etc. Works a treat.

Ironically, a HF engine hoist was one of my latest purchases. Sure, this job is doable without one, but it's a whole lot easier with one.

Looks even better in person. Going to try to get this attached to the ass end of the 1100F shortly. Need to turn some pivot bolts to lace it up, and get the shock mount sorted.

Bought a big pile-o dr650 parts yesterday. The engine, carb and pipe were picked up by Mr.E over the mountain from where he lives in TN. I was able to snag a compete wire harness, top end, stator cover, clutch cover and a bunch of other bits about an hour from me locally. It's all for a future project that I'm sure Will end up documented on here eventually.

Picked these up over the weekend. First Gen Goldwing and a FT500.

The FT already has a new home with someone here on Do The Ton. It is crusty, but mostly complete (missing the right side cover)

The GL1000 has a whole bunch of period correct add-ons (that I will remove). But underneath all of the add-ons is a pretty clean/complete bike.

Pretty sure that's an air horn stuffed in the stock headlight bucket.

Yep, looks like the PO(s) converted the back to air and that's the compressor, that would kill the ign good on these if it runs a lot LOL. Looks like you scored Lester mags though. those are nice!
