100% Basement built! No work has been farmed out to anybody, just two dudes hackin away in their basement during winter season.

Re: 1975 CB550K photobomb?

Awesome! Whats up with the paintjob? How did you get the drawings on?

Re: 1975 CB550K photobomb?

Instagram overload initiated......

Looks nice, I really like the paint as well.

Re: 1975 CB550K photobomb?

very artistic nice graffic works :D
the seat and chopped off tail and open triangle are a tired worn-out overdone "look", not very creative.....
and is there something wrong with your camera ??? :-[ i dunno maybe clean off the lens so you can show some clear, accurate pitchurs

Thanks! Tremclad paintjob from a gun. The drawings were Sharpie-d on, took me a while of course, random stuff as I go, not preplanned. Then clear coated.

Instagram overload indeed. Thanks. This is actually my first ever completed build. I was working on a Yamaha 125 2stroke before but did not continue on it as it was too small for my fat a$s. No mechanic background, just like to tinker around during winter time.

Thanks. I just like to scribble a bit, ok maybe lots. It all started from that Bell c500 helmet that I scribbled on, this bike just followed actually.

I wasn't really going after a particular "look", coincidental perhaps...? I just wanted less stuff on a 550cc bike lugging my 230lbs a$s on it.

And these are IG pictures... check this flickr album for some more hi-rez photos. ;)

Viken, what kind of high-heat paint did you use on the engine and cover? Did you use a brush for application? I'm autistic myself, i mean artistic, and im thinking of some more personal type touches I can do

For a guy with no mechnical background you made yourself a sweet ride.

Pretty proud myself, thanks! lots of learning involved, will never make the same mistake twice for whatever I'm building next. I'm thinking a bobber... hmmm

The whole bike is shot with tremclad from a gun (mixed with reducer, hardener, all that stuff of course), used their High-heat version on the engine although I'm sure the regular ones would've held pretty well too!

Why tremclad, other people may ask? Just to prove a point that you dont need thousands of $$$ for a paintjob.

looks great.......bee-u-tee-full artwork.

I liked the white walls

What and where did you get the mirrors, those are neat too?

Thanks man.
