Hey guys,

Is there a thread where I can find a good step-by-step guide to taking apart the carboureator?

Cheers!

No, Hillsy was referring to this:

If Basscliff doesn't have a specific tutorial for it, I'm sure somebody there has a good write up.

If someone hasn't already recommended it order your O-rings from Cycle O-rings and just clean dip and clean all your brass parts by sticking a piece of wire through all the holes.

Order the bowl drain o-rings too, he will throw them in for $0.01

Check to see if your carb holders also called carb boots have cracks or are too stiff. If so they should be replaced. Check the large o-rings between the carb holders and the head. they most likely will need to be replaced too. If they are flat, hard or cracked replace them. You can get those from cycle o-rings as well. You might as well replace them while you are in there because they are pretty cheap. He also has the screws that secure the carb holders to the head, they are usually rusted and are a good idea to replace.

He doesn't have the carb holders, for those you will need to get them from z-1 or someplace like that.

I think I paid about $24 for all the o-rings, new bolts and washers, and Carb holder o-rings.
