Re: '77 Kawasaki "Betty" KZ400 (NEW PICTURES - **JUNE 14th**)
UPDATES!
scrapped the above seat...
Welded the skeleton for the seat cowling.
started on the seatpan
welded a hoop to the rearend and removed that awful inner fender holder. shes looking sexy, the cowling not only is looking good but serves as fantastic lower back support at red lights!
ALSO looking for some color suggestions - since i scrapped the seat i made i'm wide open to color options. BTW if anyone wants to buy that seat for their KZ let me know. I'd be willing to sell it.
Re: '77 Kawasaki "Betty" KZ400 (UPDATE **JULY 5th**) COLOR SUGGESTIONS?
Ya... I was thinking about doing the same thing. It's a weird seat pan to try to make a simple brat style seat out of unfortunately.
I have a long flatter seat pan from the older KZ400 that doesn't have the hoop that shoots up. Would make a great brat style seat but won't fit on the newer frame. Like yours and mine.
stripping, the tank and finishing the tail section. still trying to figure out how to attach the seat to the bike -- wanted hinges originally but they wont work the way i want it...easily. will post pictures later
Not much to update. She's been sitting for a while as I've been away at school. I'm going to start picking up the build within the next few months.
I have a few things I need to take care of before I can begin ordering parts and such -- some questions that need answering. Hope you guys can help with that.
Going to start a list of things I need to buy for the bike (any suggestions would be great) in order to stay on track (and organized):
