Been Around the Block
whats up guys. so im in the middle of my CB550 engine build and I needed an engine stand to build it and to paint it. I saw some motorcycle motor stands online for sale for like $200, but i wasnt ready to spend that kind of money. (already spent enough) Well i came up with this engine stand with some spare steal i had lying around the garage. Id thought id post up some pics incase anybody was building a motor. Stands works good! doesnt roll around on the table anymore ;D
first i mocked up how long i wanted the stand with some spare square tube.
then i made some ears to mount the motor
Then I used some straight steal bars to square up the side brackets
Now I used some steal round rods and stuck them through the motor mount holes. I did it this way because when I paint the engine on the stand I wont miss any spots.
