This is great, the title grabbed my curiosity but now you have my attention!

Ok.. So I've taken a little break from DTT to focus on work and whatnot. So I've been away from all these shenanigans... But oh, I'm here now.

Also, how much would you take for a set of wrenches that say "Made in USSR" on them?

Im from east europe and now located in UK. I bet it could cost a bit posting to TX ;D otherwise I could get lots of old USSR spanners. Theyre life time ones. We could trade in something interesting for example

Instead of using old alternator with bunch on mechanical relays which usually cause battery charging problems I decided to fit one of japan cars alternator with all system build it it. Found even smaller alternator in nearest scrappy and opened another canister of beer for a night! Firs tging was to do new alternator mounting. Used lump of aluminum I casted together with the sump.

First of all I cutted of a part of old alternator which fits on the engine. Then made a new flange to connect a new alternator.

Drilled lots of holes for fixing, alternator cooling and bearing lubrication. Got rid off unwanted metal and extra weight as well.

New alternator with a piece of old alternator gonna be connected with like a ''fork'' type connection for easy maintenance later.

Got flywheel a lil bit lightened and re-balanced. Had to leave old main bolt for a now. Also got rid away old russian cheesy clutch ferodo discs and replaced with a new upgraded ones.

Used stiffer springs and was drunk enough to squeeze them for tightening last bits. Made a quick tool for it. :(

And few other tools and pulleys who helped me before

One of these days this guy is going to do something simple, and with regular tools.

This ^ actually made me laugh. And I agree. I have yet to see a screwdriver...or anything normal! haha. Whitedragoon, I enjoy this build far too much. Keep at it man.
