i totally understand not all threads begin on DTT but if you start a thread thats practically done just to snag bike of the month it kind of defeats the whole purpose of the DTT forum. building, learning, sharing... you know that whole thing. its unfortunate that vintage honda or twincam whatever isnt as cool as DTT and you werent apart of it when your build was going down but BOTM is about the members sharing their completed bikes along with the knowledge they've gained/shared from the months or years spent on it. not a popularity contest... there are plenty of threads AND baby threads to show off your sweeeet rides.
 
Agreed, CB. This has been a source of frustration for some here lately. Some guy joins and posts up a finished bike, gets BOTM, then is never heard from again. Some bullshit.
 
And I can attest that no one will fault you for unashamed post whoring if you want to show off your bike under headings like "Show and Shine". Post as many times as you like there; you'll probably get more responses there anyway...
 
Relax dude. Nobody said anything negative about you or your bike. The fact is that the rules state that someone else has to nominate your bike, and a build thread is cool.

All Ringo was saying is that it sucks when guys join, post some pics and split. He wasnt pointing fingers at you personally.

You put together a cool bike. Good for you.

Hopefully you stick around and show us some of the other builds you are working on.

Now, lets get back to the actual BOTM contest.

Wow mr goodie two shoes , who dosent know whats up with the site . settle down if you want your bike just to be posted on the net go to pipe burn. . I build bikes ??? ? really did you weld that frame from scratch . I personally like to say we restore them ! Now your trashing the forum because you are the one who is to ignorant to even learn about it before you join. You are right you probably do have better things to do like making money to pay off those pipes ,and tank. Its funny people just want praise for anything they do now days LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!!!

most entertaining BOTM convo i've come across. Ya i guess "swampdick" doesn't build bikes... if building bikes means bolting on tons of online parts. Congrats on making an ass of yourself on such a great website ;)
