76 CB360, Cherry Bomb at Barber's

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

haha back to the bike.. the extended swing arm looks cool but it looks like it would sag if you sat on it because it already sits low.. maybe im blind. I think it would look even cooler if you adjusted those shocks and raised the ass end up a little to compensate for some compression once you sat down.. No? Also, no go on the back fender UNLESS you matched the front fender with something similar.

i can only imagine the amount of Asian porn in your collection...

I used longer shocks so actually the bike still sits at the stock height. I have almost 3" before the fender would bottom out on the frame. Also, Illinois roads can get pretty rough so I always keep the shocks at their softest setting. Havent bottomed yet. and the fenders are pert near identical. the front is the stock 69 350..cut down. and the rear is the original 76 360 front.

Who needs Asian porn? I work at the University...student population is 44,000. Pert near 22,000 of them ARE Asian girls.

Ahhh i see now. Hard to tell in the pictures sometimes. You should have went a little longer with the swinger and then stuffed a NOS bottle in the gap between the tire and the "u" of the swing arm... why now? All the Busa guys do it 8)

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

So that's why you went with the brat seat! No room for sluty Asian girls with a cafe seat bump! Good thinking! Lol

Quick learner. I too go to a university where the "sluty Asian girls" are plentiful. Gotta love it!

You read my mind!!!! I wanted to get a small NOS bottle. cut the top off, add a hinge and clasp and use it for my tool box!!! tucked right in the swing. If i could find a used one cheap enough I would do exactly that!!!

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

Saw these bottles at Barber when I went, just thought it was interesting for spare fuel but could be used for other things:

Just make sure if you buy it used that it is purged and empty..!! Would hate to see an explosion and loss of limbs for a toolbox..

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

thanks...yes some projects call for extra safety. lol Also, I wouldnt want take any chances to find out the hard way. But Im thinking NOS isnt flammable without the fuel. NOS replaces the Air in system not fuel. I believe it burns 6 times faster than oxygen. so it needs the fuel. Not really sure...but thats what Im thinking.

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

you could be right.. I have never had anything worthy enough to run NOS so I don't know too much about it.. im anxious to see where you go with this.

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

Little 2.5 lb bottles go for more than $100 bucks on ebay. Geesh. If I could find one for $15 I would be all over it.

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

Ever thought of a mini fire extinghuisher? It's prolly not safe to cut one up. But, you could contact your local fire department and ask of they could spare an old tank and ask of they know anything about cutting them apart.. I could be an idiot for suggesting this. ha Just a thought

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

I looked at co2 bottles for paint ball guns. but I think they are just too small. need something like 4.5" x 10"
It probably would be a hoot just to see the looks on the firemans faces. "You wanna do what w what?!?!"
OOH just thought of somethin one of those little short fat 1lb coleman camp stove propane bottles...now how do I get ALL the propane out ?!?!

Re: improved carbs new mufflers 76 CB360, before & after

I'm not sure how to get all of the propane out. I imagine that the bottle has to be "open" for a long period of time to be sure its all out. Perhaps you could push on the relief valve with something and then tape it into place so that it is stuck open. Leave it outside away from anything that may ignite it and within a day it should be purged completely. That would be what I'd do.. Anyone else?

NOS is a brand.
Nitrous is what you're all talking about.
Why would you want to use a nitrous bottle on a bike without nitrous?
That is all.

Re: Tool box idea. 76 CB360, before & after

Thinking of making a toolbox to tuck into swingarm of the 360. Real NOS bottles are way to $ for this.

YEP 1lb propane bottle fits perfect. cut the top off add hinge and hasp. paint it w "chromey" type spray paint. I know it looks crappy but I aint gonna get it chromed!! And blue just wouldnt fit the bike. w the red and all

Might make for a fun and cool little tool box.

Re: Fun tool box project, 76 CB360, before & after

Thought I had better change the label up a little. Too keep some people from getting their panties in a bunch.
