'72 CB450 Cafe - Well, 2 CB450s worth of parts and a dream...

CLs only came with drum brakes. That must either be a CL with a CB front end put on, or a CB with CL pipes put on.

Check the frame number/engine number if the start with CL450XXXXXX it's a Cl and CB450XXXXX a CB. Bloody obvious i know but but you never know ;D

is the yellow paint orignal? i see your not using the tank but i think the yellow looks good!

I guess it is long past time for some updates! Progress slowed a bit as I studied for the GMAT...

The frame is completely bracketless at this point. There shouldn't be much more to grid off at this point if I wanted to ;)

I got the top triple tree clamp cleaned up of any extra brackets and lumps:

Following that, I fabricated a pair of clip ons. Went with a bit of a time consuming method of machining down the collars/clamps for a perfect fit. (Be aware they are not cut to length yet.)

Missing some shots of just the bars...

I am now starting the dry fit process to get things like rearsets built, seat brackets welded on, all of those goodies.

Here is the bike with mock-up motor, exhaust:

Finally I adapted the kickstand to rearsets.
