Been Around the Block
I have been working on and off for a couple of years on this 750. I got it free from my dad. He scored A BUNCH of 750 stuff and I was lucky enough to get this one handed over with a clear title! Here are a couple of pics from before and in the shape it's in now. <a href="http://s392.photobucket.com/albums/pp10/jonescafe72/?action=view&current=IMG_0729.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp10/jonescafe72/IMG_0729.jpg" border="0" alt="almost done"></a><a href="http://s392.photobucket.com/albums/pp10/jonescafe72/?action=view&current=DSC00925.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp10/jonescafe72/DSC00925.jpg" border="0" alt="freebie"></a> I'm selling my RC exhaust to someone on the SOHC forum, so as soon as that transaction is complete, I will order a new one. I have a pretty heavy oil leak from the left side of the bike, so new gaskets are on order, and as soon as I can get a new chain, I will be taking it to a buddys shop to have him synch the carbs. Should be riding by mid May!

I don't know if the pics came through or not. They're not showing up on my monitor. I'll try again if no one else can see them.

Your project is looking good. What master cylinder is that, and what year CB are the forks off of?

Good eye. The master cylinder is for a Yamaha YZF. The forks are from a XS650. The bike was missing the master cylinder, and the forks were very corroded. I found the mc on ebay for $23.00, and had an extra set of 650 forks. It just so happened that they CB and XS both use 35mm fork tubes. Also got to use a Yamaha alloy front wheel. I'm trying to keep this as inexpensive as possible, so I'm using whatever I already have.

I thought that caliper and rotor looked a little familiar. I've been helping my buddy fix up his XS this past winter. Projects looking good!
