Duke City Rockers have a bunch of great guys (and gals) in it. Fun group!
Finding a LOT of two-strokers out here! :)

Hoping to ride out to Madrid on a weekend, soon!

Well, I'm actually here, for about a month now (what's with the snow?).
I had to go to Ca. last week for my Grandma's funeral. Before I left Ca. last month, I had worked on this kid's bike, a 78 400f. He bought it for $1,500 and I put about another $1,000 in parts into it. It was a nice, clean, stock bike. While I was in Ca. for the funeral, I got a call he was going to unload it for $1,000. Of course I hunted him down, but it got shaky pretty fast. He wanted me to give him the grand then use the bike a few weeks to get to work, so I declined.
Been home from the funeral for two days and my kid calls to inform me the 400f was low sided yesterday and pretty tore up.

Stayed in SF for a while, miss the springs, coastin uphill, the plaza and my birthday is in August so I burn a mini Zozobra haha!!

Sorry to hear about your grandmother Bill. Did you move here to abq or just staying a bit?

I've actually owned a home in Bloomfield for years. After 30 years of logistics, I burned out. Decided to move here and take it easy. Now all I have to do is get a job. I drove over to "Quality waters" on the San Juan the other day, I think I'm going to fit in fine here.

Yep, about twenty minutes from my house. The river actually runs less than two miles from my home, but looks a little murky for fishing. That's o.k. the drive out to Quality is quite nice... It has been a little cold, but made it into high 50's this week, t-shirt has been plenty comfortable.

Murky just calls for a clear bubble and little tiny gold hooks withe little tiny red worm in the slow water... good eats!

Well I took a ride to Dulce on Sunday, about an hour from my house. Pulled over to the side of the road for a smoke. Took me several minutes to realize I was standing next to a heard of Buffalo. So..... There's that.

Haha was it dark? Buffalo are like cows, not real responsive unless something small like a dog runs up

Middle of the day, I had cabin fever and didn't care how cold it was or how much black ice I had to dodge, I needed to get out. I had pulled over to get the feeling's back in my hands and to ponder that Dulce looked a lot like some Alaskan cities I've seen on T.V.

I think I was a little fatigued and just wasn't paying attention when the light bulb lit and it dawned on me I was standing by some Buffalo (something you don't see much of in California). I grabbed a burger at the casino, and headed back passing several frozen lakes. It was quite a scenic ride and by the way everybody was waving at me, they don't see many Triumphs out that way.

It has been a serious adjustment for me. Riding all day and barely seeing a dozen cars, not seeing an ocean at some point in the ride and so far haven't seen anything other than Harley's up here. Where I come from the Sunday ride see's everything from Aprilia's to maybe a sighting of Jay Leno's jet bike. Exotica was the norm there. Also I think I'm the only one around here who wears a full helmet. I guess I'm going to be "That Guy"....
