Spondon,You can ride that SR hard w/ no fear of bottoming those nice forks.

Right you are! I'd like to look into shortening the tubes (if possible) and I still need to sort out what rear shocks are in my future.

That looks stellar.

I'm currently working on a zx9 front end grafted to a 1981 cb750 custom that I cafe'd with an xs750 tank.

wanted to retain the speedo drive to avoid going digital speedo, so I came up with a multi-piece spacer setup with a toothed sleeve that moves the speedo driver all the way to the fork leg so I have room for the rotor adapter and 320mm rotor.

the toothed piece is 2.5mm shorter than the inner bushing it rides on as shown here before being slid over the other spacer, these will be greased to hell and a bronze sleeve added between

and to cover the drive extension, an old fork dust boot from a cbr600rr I just replaced seals on was a perfect fit.

(tough to see since everything is black)

rotor adapter is next, started on it last night on the lathe...only have about an hour into it with quite a bit to go but I'll update here after I finish the fab work.

Nice work focus! That looks the trick! And yeah, the stance is just right. And the brakes....whoa!

One of the nicer beamers I've seen by far. The photo is cool too.

Looks too steep almost tucked. What is the body?

Sorry for the late reply. It's just the photo angle that makes it look odd. Fairing was from Airtech, don't remember the exact model. Had to be cut up quite a bit, but that's how fairings go.

What front wheel are you using? And what size? I would live to do a similar swap on my 82 cb750 but didn't think I could run a spoked wheel.

What's the bolt pattern for the rotors on the 82 hub? For the SOHC, a 95/96 YZF600R rotors bolt right up, plus a spacer to match the width. Then just find a bearing with the matching ID and OD for that axle.

I'm not sure I'll have to look. How does one measure? I don't have twin front rotors though. I guess just running one would still be an upgrade over my single pot.
