1972 CB450 or 1970 CB350?

Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and I'm totally at a loss as to which is the better bike/buy. There's a guy selling a 1970 CB350 for $2600 and another guy selling a 1972 CB450 for $2100 both all stock. They are both in pretty great condition, but I'm not sure if the CB350 is enough bike for me. Thoughts??

450.

If you are paying that much I hope you leave it stock.

The 350 pictured is worth about 800 dollars in that condition.

Where do you live that people are getting 2-3K for bikes like that?

I'd pay in the 2 grand range for the 450 if it is 100% stock and complete, and runs perfect. Otherwise, I'd look for a newer bike!!

The 350, 100%. The 450 adds a bunch of weight without adding a lot of power (i.e. it's not really a faster bike), and the 350 has a way bigger following so you will have better access to parts, aftermarket accessories, and people who can give you advice and help. Also, that 1970 is a damn fine looking bike. Though as previous members have already noted, those prices are pretty steep. $1800-$2200 is fair depending on how she runs.
