So today I decided to free up some sticking clutch plates and I found that the oil idler gear is in two pieces. I don't know if I broke it by trying to turn the motor. I guess my question is about the oil pump. Does it turn freely once the idler is removed? any questions or experience in the same thing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Same thing happened to me, I managed to figure out it was when i put the case on: You have to be super careful to put the case over that corner first otherwise when you tighten it down and it sounds like the bolt guides finally find the holes its that breaking in half

Wow ok good to know. I have a question. I tried to turn the oil pump and it turned about a 1/4 turn then stopped. Is this normal?

I really can't remember sorry. I'd check with crazypj, he was my cb360 guru and helped me through just about every issue I had on that bike.
