Great board! Glad I found it. Just sold my Cafe BMW, looking to replace it with a cafe XS 650. I am, picking one up tomorrow, and looking for tips and sources for parts.

WOW !!!. I would have hung on to that baby ... Lots of info on the XS, quite a few members here building or have an XS. You came tot he right spot. There are numerous other sights that specialize in the XS as well. Good luck with the build and keep us posted on your progress ...... INCLUDING PICS !! ... ;D

If the XS comes out anything like the beemer then I can't wait to see it!

I'm sure you never sold it just for the sake of selling it, someone out there has a very nice bike.

No doubt about it, it was very hard to part with. The BMW was the bike I bought for myself to ease my way back into biking, took a 6 year break to raise my son, he was left on my doorstep when he was 9 months old. Great kid who asks me nearly daily when he gets a motorbike.ROCKET

I love the bike, no doubts, but I have this idea of building up a Manx style XS in a minimalist fashion with a bit of color splashed around. Had several offers, and I turned down higher offers in order to best match the bike to the person, sounds weird I know, but I am sorta fussy about things.

I started a web page to chronicle my XS project, and will share the link once I have something noteworthy.

Anyone ever get to the Minneapolis area, drop me an email. Make sure to check out these guys.... www.motomutz.com

Well, I guess if you found the strength to part with it at least you took the time to find a loving home :D
