Been Around the Block
Hello, I had some troubles with repairing my plastic front fender of my cb 125T, so i made this little guide for whoever needs it one day
first of all: the damage done to the fender was because of the front brake cable rubbing the plastic which resulted in some missing plastic
I filled it up with (carbumper)filler but because the fender is pretty flexible this just fel out a bit later
The right way to do it:
sanded the area clean
filled it up with fibreglass and resin
cut off the excess (i used a sawblade for metal from a small handsaw) and sanded it more or less smooth so nothing sticks out
tidy it up with some filler and job done, ready for paint
i put it to the test by flexing the fender a bit and nothing cracked yet so that's a good sign... time will tell how decent this technique is
