Yeah, I've looked at his, but frankly think the steel is a little on the thin side (would look better in thicker alloy) and the rod-ends / rods leave a lot to be desired.

I asked him about just buying a set of mounting brackets so I could use my own Tarozzi levers on my XS650 and he asked $80 shipped to Canada, which isn't bad considering they're custom made for the 650. I decided to spend my US$80 on a bandsaw and will make my own ;)

His brackets seem to set the pegs a long way back - further than most I've seen and probably further than I'd want to be. He also makes forward mounting kits for the chopper enthusiasts.

I saw the forward controls, but after having tried out Harleys and the V-Star with the forward controls, I am not a fan. Give me old-fashioned pegs with the 1dn-4/5up and I am happy. The best rearsets I've seen so far are the Tarozzi's, beautiful looking and (I assume since they sell them for specific bikes) no machine work with making mounts.

Hey Jim ..... I'm guessing you lost the ebay bidding war on the rearsets for your 750 ???. Where you able to find anything else ???.

that one pi$$ed me off royally. my wife had me doing other stuff and I didn't get back home until after the auction ended. Same like this weekend, wanted to do the CVMG track day at Cayuga but she made other plans on my behalf. Doesn't she realize my toys come first

God knows I love her, but some days.....

Anyone use Raask Rear sets on an XS?

Nice thing about the 650 is the flat surface on which to mount brackets for rearsets. Any levers will work in the end.

You need to make plates that bolt on where the footpeg mounts bolt on now. Then the levers bolt to the new plates, and you then need the linkage to the shifter and brake - the hardest bits to sort out.

Google Omar's rearsets and you'll see a nice setup for the 650 from which you can gain inspiration.

I got lucky and bought my rearsets off some guy on ebay that had never installed them. Got a sweet deal. I'm happy with the looks and performance and the bike handles great with the rearsets and clubman bars.
